Race 17 of 33 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series

Location: Atlanta Motor Speedway - 1.54 Mile Oval

Format: 163 laps - 251.02 Miles

Reddick’s Finish: 4th

Hampton, Georgia - A rain-filled weekend in Atlanta did not stop Tyler Reddick from running the fastest lap of the race at 179.615 MPH, during the Alsco Uniforms 250, at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. With multiple lightening delays and rain, NASCAR cancelled qualifying, that was set to take place on Saturday morning - the field was set by the Metric. The No. 48 Spiked Coolers Chevrolet, driven by Tyler Reddick started the 250 mile race from p22.

Reddick ended stage 1 in p11 and was happy with the performance of his car - Tyler could be heard on the radio telling crew chief, Patrick Donahue, the car was “right where it needed to be.” After a quick stop for 2 tires and fuel, the No. 48 Spiked Coolers Chevrolet gained 7 positions in the race off pit road. Tyler started stage 2 from the inside of row 2 and by lap 48, had taken the lead; he went on to lead 21 laps.

Tyler had a strong finish at the end of stage 2, in 4th place. During the caution between stages, Reddick was penalized for going too fast on pit road - this would send him to the rear for the start of the 3rd and final stage. In just 10 laps since the start of stage 3, Reddick was able to make his way up to 10th place. Reddick continued to work his way forward, ending the day with a 4th place finish.
