Race 16 of 33 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series

Location: Road America - 4.048 Mile Road Course

Format: 45 Laps - 182.16 Miles

Reddick’s Finish: 30th

Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin - Reddick had a strong showing in qualifying, as the 3rd fastest in Group A, he secured his spot in the second round. His qualifying time of 136.564 seconds, during the second round of qualifying, landed him a top-10 starting position of 9th. 8 laps into the race, crew chief Patrick Donahue made the call to bring the car to pit road for 4 tires and fuel. Shortly after Reddick left pit road, the caution was out for the No. 02 of Moffitt. This would have secured good track position but a penalty on pit road for going through too many pit boxes, would mean the No. 48 would have to start from the rear. Reddick was able to maintain good track speed and the team was hopeful of a strong finish.

Tyler Reddick and the Big Machine Racing team ended the day with a disappointing 30th place finish as the result of a large wreck on lap 25 of 45. It was early in the final stage when contact with the No. 9 of Gragson, and the No. 45 of Karam, sparked what would be a snowball effect of wreckage - this would include the No. 48 Spiked Coolers Chevrolet of Tyler Reddick. Reddick was evaluated and released at the on-site medical facility. The No. 48 Chevrolet took a hard hit to the right-side, as drivers tried to navigate blindly through a cloud of smoke and dust.

Tyler will rejoin Big Machine Racing next weekend in Atlanta for the Alsco Uniforms 250, on Saturday, July 9 at 5:00pm ET.
