BRISTOL FIRST TIMER: This week will mark Jade Buford’s first start at Bristol Motor Speedway in any series. It’s a common occurrence for the 33-year-old NXS rookie whose background is primarily in sports car racing. Buford turned his first-ever laps on an oval in 2021 and has been impressive, consistently running inside the top 20 and scoring his first top-10 finish at Michigan International Speedway last month.

DOUBLE DUTY: Ahead of Friday’s NXS race at Bristol, Buford will get some additional track time in on Thursday by competing in the Bush’s Beans 200 ARCA Menards Series race. The Nashville, Tenn. native will drive the No. 10 Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers car for Andy Hillenburg. The race will air live on FOX Sports 1 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
