QUOTES
JADE BUFORD, DRIVER OF THE NO. 48 BIG MACHINE VODKA SPIKED COOLERS CAMARO
“I’m looking forward to getting to Daytona this weekend. Hopefully we can keep some momentum going after the success we had at Michigan. Our Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers team continues to grow and get better and better every race. With Daytona being a superspeedway, I know our strategy might be different going into the race, but if we can be around at the end, I’m confident we can come away with another strong finish for Big Machine Racing.”
SCOTT BORCHETTA, TEAM OWNER
“This Big Machine Racing team continues to improve every week and last week in Michigan was no exception. The team really clicked from the onset with great leadership from Crew Chief Patrick Donahue, strong pit stops and restarts, and Jade brilliantly maneuvering through the big wrecks. To race to our first top 10 is extremely satisfying, but it is also just the beginning of what I know we can do.”
NOTES
DAYTONA: This weekend will mark Jade Buford’s first time competing on the oval of Daytona International Speedway. The rookie driver’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series start this season came in the second event of the year on Daytona’s road course. Earlier this season at Talladega Superspeedway, a similar track to Daytona, Buford drove to an 18th-place result.
FIRST TOP-10: Last weekend rookie team Big Machine Racing earned its first top-10 finish with driver Jade Buford. From the drop of the green flag, Buford’s Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers Camaro showed speed. The 33-year-old driver avoided the melee of the chaotic final stage of the race at Michigan International Speedway to earn a ninth-place finish. It was Buford’s second career top 10 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and his first on an oval.
The first season for Big Machine Racing and Buford has seen much success. Buford, who has a large background in road-course racing, has visited many of the tracks on the NASCAR schedule for the very first time this season without any practice time and has driven to an impressive 13 top-20 finishes on the year.
SPIKED COOLERS AVAILABILITY EXPANDS TO NEW STATES: Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers are expanding into new states!
